Does Anyone still use Windows 8/8.1 in 2020. I understand that Windows 8 ended support back in 2016 and 8.1 supported until 2023. I currently use Windows 8.1 daily because with classic shell (recommend) it's basically Windows 7 SP2. I upgraded Windows 7 since its ending support in a few days and 8.1 is great. Better then 10 certainly.

The insignificant amount of people that will remain on Windows 7 isn't exactly going to catch the attention you seem to assume it will.
Answer (1 of 22): Yes you can but i won't recommend as it is more vulnerable to threads . Support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020. If you are still using Windows 7, your PC may become more vulnerable to security risks.

App design uses a lot of space which makes apps look ugly. This is all because Windows thinks it’s a mobile OS now (actually since 8). Windows Store is a shithole, another mobile style thing, it’s full of complete shit and putting official windows apps in there is like storing your jewellery in your toilet. 14.

I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 on old hardware, and honestly I haven't noticed any difference when running games. My graphics hardware is essentially a gtx 295, and barely has support in win10, but it works. If you already have windows 10 I don't think downgrading to 7 is a good idea, you won't likely get any benefit.
